You have use of all spaces when staying at Longheel Cabin.

During winter months there will be an salt tub available with shovels to put out on stairs in case of ice and snow. Please do not put on gravel or drive as this is not allowed by HOA. If drive is too icy it is possible to park at the bottom, in spaces across from drive, and walk to home. Please use caution as weather can make steps slippery. Always utilize the handrail.

Other Details to Note

4x4 is required in the winter months. There is winter parking by the pond and a short walk from there to the cabin if you have to utilize the parking. We try our best to keep the driveway as clear as possible. There are snow shovels and ice melt for the cabins driveway under the deck. No refunds due to weather. **SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT ROAD CONDITIONS** Mountain weather can change rapidly and without warning. Rain, fog, snow, sleet, and ice may create hazardous driving conditions, especially during the winter season (November through April). During winter months, road conditions may require a **4-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle and/or tire chains**, along with the ability to safely drive in snow and icy conditions, to access the property. The final **½ mile** of the drive is a gravel road with gradual inclines that can become muddy or slippery depending on the weather. It is **your responsibility** to arrive fully prepared for current and forecasted road conditions. **No refunds, credits, or reservation date changes** will be provided due to a guest's failure to have an appropriate vehicle, required equipment, or the ability to drive safely in winter conditions. During periods of good weather, the property is typically accessible with a 2-wheel drive vehicle; however, the gravel road may still become muddy after rain. We strongly recommend purchasing **travel insurance**, particularly during the winter months, as mountain weather is unpredictable and may affect travel plans.
