You have use of all spaces when staying at Longheel Cabin.

Good to know

During winter months there will be an salt tub available with shovels to put out on stairs in case of ice and snow. Please do not put on gravel or drive as this is not allowed by HOA. If drive is too icy it is possible to park at the bottom, in spaces across from drive, and walk to home. Please use caution as weather can make steps slippery. Always utilize the handrail.

Other Details to Note

4x4 is required in the winter months. There is winter parking by the pond and a short walk from there to the cabin if you have to utilize the parking. We try our best to keep the driveway as clear as possible. There are snow shovels and ice melt for the cabins driveway under the deck. No refunds due to weather.

Our family of six thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Longheel Cabin. We were in town for the App State graduation, so being able to go back and forth to campus was important. The cabin is right outside of town and takes just a few minutes to get to campus or King St. Even with this accessibility, the cabin is secluded in a gated community with spectacular views of the mountains. The cabin is exactly as described with plenty of room and comfort. We've stayed in many rentals across the country, and the Longheel Cabin was the most well stocked and appointed. We like to cook while we're on the road, and the kitchen was a dream. Not only did it have everything we needed, but everything was accessible and easy to find. Shaun was a superb host. Information was crystal clear, and communication was immediate. Shaun was super flexible and did everything to make our graduation weekend perfect. Would absolutely stay again.

Longheel Cabin is THE BEST. It is exactly as pictured and such a lovely, comfortable spot. The views are incredible and the hosts have thought of every detail - the kitchen amenities, well-kept board games, comfy beds, clear instructions, all of it was perfect . The location just 10 minutes from downtown Boone was amazing as well. We will definitely be back and had a great stay.

We LOVE Longheel cabin! I can’t say enough about this property or Shaun as a host. He went above and beyond from the beginning, offering to set up Santa presents by the tree for us coming in on Christmas and making sure everything was safe regarding potential snow. The cabin was very well-stocked with necessities in the kitchen and bathrooms, as well as homey extras to make it even more comfortable. The views from the primary and the balcony are breathtaking. The kids had a blast with all of the games and puzzles to play and loved exploring the property and beautiful pond nearby. It was a very short drive into downtown Boone with lots of great dining and shopping and close to grocery stores. It was also basically 20-30 min to everything else we did- tubing, skiing, alpine coaster… wonderful location and home away from home. We will definitely be back!

This was our first time staying in the mountains of Boone- and it was awesome! This cabin's location was remarkably close to downtown, and not hard to find, which we loved. Often when we have stayed in the mountains, we have had to drive a long way to get to things, but this location made it easy to hit restaurants and shopping while we were in town for Thanksgiving. On the other hand, it was nicely secluded and very quiet-which was very nice. Our host, Shaun was great! He communicated so well before we checked in, and wrote us the first morning to make sure we got in safely and that everything was good with the cabin. As I told him in my reply, I have never been to an AirBNB that was so well stocked with supplies- from toiletries to supplies in the kitchen. It was great. We look forward to staying here again in the future! Thanks Shaun for helping make this a memorable Thanksgiving for our family!
